Classic Bechstein - Exquisite!
We purchased this piano in 1952 from Whittle Music Co. in Dallas and it has been in our possession ever since.
The case is exquisite, a classic C. Bechstein, with rosewood and ebony trim, original ivory keys, and the beautiful open-work music stand.
In 1998 Alexander Keylard & Sons, Chicago, rebuilt the piano. Old action parts were replaced with new Renner, wood hand stripped inside and out, new Delignit pinblock inserts, all new Roslau treble and tenor strings and Degen wire for custom wound bass. Complete description available.
The piano is in excellent condition. It has the beautiful Bechstein tone. The instrument needs to find a new home with someone who will fall in love with it as did my family years ago.
May 2013 appraised value was $80,000, we will entertain reasonable offers.
