This is a vintage Steinway that has new strings and pins. The tuning is very stable and the tone is rich! The dark mahogany while not absolutely perfect, is absolutely beautiful.
The piano may have had a player system which were popular early in the century. Steinway in New York said that not all Steinway players had longer cabinets. The bottom line is that this piano not only sounds magnificent, but the action is smooth and responsive with nearly perfect action weight.
If you like wood, but also like ebony, this could be the perfect piano. Because in low light, it appears like a black piano. Yet, in a well lit room you see the deep wood grain. This is another glorious Steinway from the Golden Era of American Pianos!
