Played daily. Immaculately maintained by an RPT, rebuilt in 2011. All original ivories, new strings, pins, hammers and dampers. Gorgeous tone, with a power and a clarity only found in pre-depression Steinways. Flawless mahogany cabinet finished in High-gloss tuxedo black, original ivories. The hand-built Steinert is one of the finest pianos ever produced, made in Boston by America's first Steinway dealer, and built on Steinway templates, which is why this one was purchased by Mary Garden, the pre-eminent American opera Grand Diva from 1910-1934. Original paperwork and recent receipts. Original bench included.
