At the time this piano was built, there were over 1000 companies producing pianos in the United States. Just a handful of names are still remembered today. The best names in pianos like Baldwin, Knabe, Weber, Kohler & Campbell along with Hardman are utilized to help sell many Asian production pianos. While these mostly Chinese pianos have nothing to do with the original manufacturers, it does reflect upon the quality of these instruments since there are thousands of names to choose from and only the handful of truly top echelon pianos from the past have been immortalized in this way.
