Rare 1898 Steinway Concert C Grand Piano
Renowned for its powerful sound and overall performance, the Steinway C 7' 5' was the most successful of the Steinway C series. This piano was originally sold by M. Steinert, a Boston Steinway dealer in 1898 to a Beacon Hill family. The current owner purchased the piano in 1980 and in 1983 the piano was professionally refurbished. New Spruce soundboard and bridge caps, re-bronzed harp, new strings, tuning pins, action, keybed felt, damper felts and damper guide rail busihings. All action parts were meticulously regulated and hammers voiced. Cabinet re-ebonized. Original ivory keys.
