Classic Upright Grand, Playable
This Charles Stieff has not been tuned since the 60s, but it has kept its sound remarkably. We aquired the piano from its second owner who had it for 40 years. Our hope was to restore and enjoy this classic beauty, but we are expecting a new addition to the family and we now need the space the piano occupies.
The ivory keys are in excellent condition. There are a few scratches on the piano case but most of that was from moving the piano out of the previous owner's basement. We've had a tuner look at the piano and he was impressed by the condition and sound. The soundboard self adjusts when the keyguard is moved up. The piano also has a suspend-locking and release pedal, which is pretty unique.
