1857 ERARD LONDON GRAND
1857 ERARD LONDON concert grand rebuilt in absolute respect of his original conception. We used Paulello strings expressly made for XIXth century pianos. Bass strings have been designed by J.C.Piano from Toronto, Canada, for this particular instrument. New pinblock with #1 LO-TORQ tuning pins by Klinke of Germany. All moldings in pure brass, furniture refurbished with great care in black with some parts in natural wood.

A perfect representative of the XIXth century piano, ideal to recreate the sound, the musicological approach, the touch and the character of the music written by great composers of that area like Liszt, Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, Mendelssohn.

Ideal to rediscover French composers Faure, Debussy and Ravel.

Luminous, clear and transparent tone with a marvelous pallet of dynamics. Light touch and fast action.

The instrument has been played and greatly appreciated by the internationally renowned pianist Dang Thai Son who’s interpretation of the Chopin concertos on a 1849 Erard with the “orchestra of the XIXth century” under the direction of Frans Brüggen on a record of the “Narodewy Instytut Fryderyka Chopina“ was acclaimed by the Diapason magazine.

Piano is located in Quebec.
