1915 Steinway model OR Duo-Art Player
This rare and beautiful piano was built before the heyday of the radio and record player, when the entertainment of choice in the homes of the most privileged citizens was the reproducing grand piano. This remarkable Steinway is equipped with the Duo Art reproducing system which allows it to play paper rolls which reproduce the actual performances of the great pianists of the day including Paderewski, Hoffman, Horowitz, Gershwin, and many others. Its condition is exceptional - the elaborate reproducing player mechanism has been completely restored by one of the best rebuilders in the business, and the piano itself has been rebuilt and has an exceptional tone. The original finish is in extremely fine condition and the ivory keys are excellent. When new this remarkable instrument cost over $5000 - a price comparable to that of a good sized home. Today it is offered at a price lower than most non-player Steinway grands - a true opportunity for any collector or music lover.
