1888 6' 4' Chickering Grand Piano
Beautiful Victorian features include highly detailed legs and scroll-cut music desk. The piano has 88 keys, 3 pedal and has been refinished in Mahogany. This piano is in the process of being Meticulously restored inside and out. Once completed it will be a magnificent instrument like no other. This piano is a chance to own a piece of history.
Chickering pianos are superb instruments which were built up until around the Second World War are considered to be second to none and some of the concert grands built around the period of the late 1800's to around 1925 have some of the most powerful and rich sounds possible, especially in the bass. The Smithsonian keeps history only on Chickering Pianos made during this period.
